About the Role

Amberstone Biosciences is a team of passionate scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs dedicated to developing cutting-edge microfluidic-based single cell technologies with an ambitious vision to sharply improve the success rate and efficiency of discovering next generation therapeutics.

Our engineering division is seeking interns with knowledge in the area of biomedical engineering, specifically in one or more of the following topics: Microfluidics, fabrication of fluidic systems, fluorescence detection, flow cytometry, and signal processing. The candidate will report to the Director of Engineering and work with other team members in a highly team-oriented environment.


  • (Ongoing) education in biomedical engineering or computer sciences with strong interest in microfluidic-based single cell technologies and/or signal processing (e.g., LabView). Hands-on experience in a laboratory-type environment is a plus.
  • Excellent ability to work with a strong focus on planned deliverables (e.g., timely fabrication of microfluidic chips, delivery of a software module).
  • Good communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply skills for microfluidic chip fabrication
  • Assist in experiments related to the microfludic field.
  • Design and fabricate custom parts using 3D printer and CAD designs
  • Basic programming

    Paid Internship, compensation will depend on skills and experiences.
